The river of life teaches us the principle of flow. To flow is to move effortlessly in the universal cycle of regeneration. When we flow we are rejuvenated by the purification of our intentions. Flow dissolves hard edges and hardened egoic structures.

Invite Venus or Aphrodite into your awareness and/or your water altar. She may help you see the nature of flow, the infinite dance of love and beauty. The goddess inspires us to dance. Ask her to activate the internal pulse of emotion. Remember to return to stillness post-movement meditation, it is in the still point that we access the subtle stream of oneness consciousness within us.

All organisms consist mostly of water. Water is the element of life. The human embryo, entirely floating within the maternal waters, gradually forms its physical organs out of the liquid. Akin to humans, water is most sensitive to the influences of its environment. Water is the most receptive sense organ of the earth just as our wombs are the most sensitive sense organ of our bodies. The activity of thinking is an expression of flowing movement, therefore if when our hips and wombs move, we awaken the intuitive intelligence of our body.

Emotion comes from the Latin- emovere, to move out. Emotion is energy in motion. If we allow ourselves freedom of movement, our body will intelligently release emotion through our expression. When we hold back and suppress our range of emotions, especially the uncomfortable ones, we create stagnation in the body which can eventually lead to imbalance or disease.

Visualize your womb as an ocean of potential. The deep waters of creation are contained within you. Your overall health is interdependent with the fluidity of your internal waters. Your fertility is a sign of vitality and healthy flow.  Think of your vital fluids, visualize the rivers of blood flowing gracefully throughout your veins as well as the amniotic fluid that sustains life within the womb. Stagnation in the body creates dis-ease, water loves movement.  Movement restructures the molecules in water, revitalizing and making her come alive. This is true for all bodies of water, including your own. There is an entire science dedicated to the wellness of water and it relates to movement. John Wilkes developed flowforms in the 1970’s, a set of water features to improve the quality of water. Inspired by the vortex principle introduced by Rudolf Steiner in biodynamic agriculture. The flowform fountain utilizes a figure eight flow pattern akin to the infinity sign. This technology gently folds oxygen into the water and helps break down unwanted pollutants thus revitalizing water into optimum health. I believe that moving our hips in a figure eight pattern and undulating our wombs has a similar effect on our fertility and overall health.
